About

Dr. Fiona Chau was born in Hong Kong and has had a passion for veterinary medicine from a very young age. Dr Chau obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Prior to joining VSH, Dr. Chau completed her rotating small animal internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls , New Jersey.

Dr. Chau has a special interest in GI diseases, clinical nutrition, transfusion medicine, polytrauma, and fracture stabilization. She holds a special place in her heart for exotics and wildlife medicine. She actively participates in annual conferences that support these interests.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, Dr. Chau enjoys traveling, hiking, volunteering to work with wildlife, indulging in all the amazing food that San Diego has to offer, and spending time with her furry babies: Mika, Milo and Samantha (aka Kitty). She hopes that one day she could live in a house filled with a variety of feathers, scales, and fur.
