Katie holds a B.Sc in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University. With over 7 years of experience in veterinary medicine, she has worked across diverse settings, including large animal livestock, exotic and wildlife rescue, as well as cat and dog hospitals. Additionally, Katie has dedicated 7 years to oncology research, contributing to several peer-reviewed articles. Alongside her research endeavors, she founded and successfully expanded a small business, gaining valuable experience in B2B sales, business development, and marketing.

Katie is happily married and the proud mom of two human babies, Rowan and River, as well as four fur babies - Chakra, a Labradoodle, Lilly, a Goldendoodle, and two Holland lops named JuJu Bean and Pom Pom. Outside of her bustling family life, Katie finds joy in traveling, crafting, savoring good food, attending concerts, and engaging in almost all outdoor activities.
