About
Dr. Meghan Collins is originally from California, and received her undergraduate degree from Fresno State. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. Following graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Connecticut. She stayed on as a full time Emergency clinician at this specialty hospital for a few years before joining the VSH team. She is thrilled to be back in California again, and enjoys hiking, fencing, various artistic outlets (including drawing, painting and ceramics), and just being outside without the need to shovel snow. At the moment she has two cats named Monty and Riddick, but hopes to add a dog to the family soon. Dr. Collins enjoys all aspects of Emergency medicine, but particularly enjoys wound management, toxicology, surgical emergencies and bleeding disorders.
