About

Dr. Elizabeth Gagnepain is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She is a specialist in neurology and has extensive clinical training in all aspects of veterinary neurology, neuroimaging, and neurosurgery. She has a special interest in neurosurgery, specifically in surgical management of spinal malformations and intervertebral disc herniations. While her passion is in the operating room, she also finds satisfaction in the diagnosis and management of the various inflammatory central nervous system disorders.

Dr. Gagnepain is originally from Ohio but received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University where she played division 1 field hockey. She then returned to her home state to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. With plans to provide veterinary care at a specialty level, Dr. Gagnepain completed an internship program at North Carolina State University prior to moving to Missouri for her residency in neurology and neurosurgery. While she has lived across the continental United States, she is very excited to experience all that Southern California has to offer.

When she is not at work, Dr. Gagnepain enjoys rock climbing, running marathons, and cooking. She also enjoys riding her Fjord horse named Huckleberry Hans. At home she has 2 Chihuahua mixes named Ducky and Rex and a dachshund named BB Renee.
