Dr. Lauren Pepper, originally from Ohio, received her veterinary degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts. She completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in the East Bay before following the sun down to San Diego and joining the VSH team. Her interests include renal disease, electrolyte imbalances, and endocrine disease. Exotic pets, especially reptiles, hold a special place in her heart. 

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Pepper enjoys reading, yoga, and video games. Her home is kept busy by her dogs Lionel and Olive, her cat Mothman, her leopard gecko Sobek, and her ever-growing houseplant collection.
