Dr. Nichole Svehla is originally from the Nebraska. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University.

She spent 15 years practicing emergency medicine in Phoenix, Northern California, and San Diego. After a few years in general practice in the San Diego area, she returned to emergency medicine and currently works at VSH North County.

Her professional interests include polytrauma, sepsis, and pain management, and she especially enjoys the challenge and reward of stabilizing critical patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Svehla enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending time outdoors. She shares her home with two Persian cats and a Golden Retriever.
